Why BlairDiaz Mental Health Counseling

My interest in mental health began close to home. I saw family and friends struggle while the people around them minimized what was happening or treated it as something to hide. I saw how easily someone could go without the help they needed when no one felt comfortable talking about it.

Those experiences shaped why I created BlairDiaz Counseling. I want people to have a place where they can speak honestly about depression, anxiety, postpartum challenges, parenting, addiction in the family, and the changes that come with health, disability, and aging. These are real parts of life, yet many people still feel pressure to brush them aside.

My perspective is also shaped by experiences with parenting children at different stages, including children with special needs, and by seeing how immigration, child welfare, and the legal system affect families. Racism, racial disparities, and gender inequality can add another layer to what someone is carrying. I believe those realities deserve to be heard as part of the conversation.

At BlairDiaz Counseling, my goal is to offer a space for real conversation, practical support, and growth at your own pace.

Who I Work With

I work with children, teens, adults, and families who want a place to talk honestly about what is happening in their lives. Some come in knowing exactly what they want help with. Others just know that things have felt hard for a while.

My clients may be navigating anxiety, depression, parenting, relationships, family stress, life transitions, or the effects of larger systems on their daily lives. You do not need to have the right words—or a diagnosis—to start a conversation.

My approach is warm, direct, and practical. We make room for your story, then work together on what you want to change.

BEFORE YOU ASK — KEEP YOURSELF SAFE 💯

Teen Talk with Auntie Sai is a PUBLIC space.

Teen Talk is for general education, conversation, and support. It is not therapy, and submitting a question does not create a therapist-client relationship.

Please protect your privacy. Don't include your full name, address, school, phone number, social media handles, exact location, or other information that could identify you or someone else.

Because questions may appear on a public website or social media, do not submit anything you would need to remain private or confidential. Publicly posted information may be viewed, copied, screenshotted, shared, preserved, or potentially accessed or used by others, including law enforcement.

A NOTE ABOUT SAFETY

Auntie Sai is a licensed mental health professional and mandated reporter and must follow applicable reporting laws.

If information submitted suggests that a child may be experiencing abuse or neglect, or reveals another situation that creates a legal duty to report, information may need to be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Do not use Teen Talk to report an emergency, abuse, a crime, or an immediate safety concern. This page is not monitored as an emergency or crisis service.

KEEP IT 100 — WITHOUT GIVING UP YOUR PRIVACY.

Ask about the situation, not identifying details.

Instead of:

“My name is ___, I go to ___ High School, and my stepfather ___ did…”

Try:

“What should a teen do if they don't feel safe with an adult at home?”

You can ask the real question without telling the internet exactly who you are.

Real Questions. Real Takes. Zero Fluff. Safety First.
